When multiple Turbines, Engines or both work together it is necessary to have these prime movers work as one. More often than not an installation has a synthesis of prime movers of various makers, horse-power and age. In these situations, a system that will unify the operation of the plant is of great importance.

It must be noted that the performance of a power management system greatly depends on the precision and reliability of the Prime Mover controls. As such many power management projects include also new Turbine controls and/or Engine Controls. For the unification and the integration of the installations monitoring, a plant-wide SCADA system is often installed.
